Hello friends! This week’s theme is Valentines day and there is nothing I love doing more than doodling and making patterns! I send out a doodled heart to each and every one of you!
Here’s my pattern theme illustration. I really like what everyone has done with repeated objects like fruit and vegetables, etc., and I was looking at some carpet designs for the color scheme inspiration for this image: grays, lime green and cream colors.
I have been so cold lately. I think I drank about 5 cups of tea today. And I always want cake. Always. So please forgive this ridiculously busy pattern while I get all of this out of my system.
Polka dots have always been my favorite pattern. And Roosters. They’re pretty cool too.

I just started designing textiles for a fair-trade company in Chicago, called Mata Traders. This is one of the many fun pattern designs I have been playing around with (it might actually be one of the favorites)
